Supporting women and families in Chicagoland area and NW Indiana

My Philosophy

Women’s bodies are beautifully created to give birth. Birth is not a medical event—it is a sacred, physiological rite of passage that women hold deep wisdom for. Across cultures and generations, women have birthed with the support of intuition, community, and trust. That legacy lives on.

Whether at home, in a birth center, or within a hospital setting, the energy that surrounds a woman during birth matters. Birth is a vulnerable, powerful moment—and a woman’s confidence and ability to labor and bring her baby earthside are shaped by her environment and her support team.

I believe women deserve midwifery-led care, evidence-based support, informed consent and refusal, uninterrupted privacy, and a team that truly trusts their body’s natural process. Immediate connection with their baby should be protected, honored, and never rushed.

That said, I also recognize that not everyone has access to midwifery care—and that sometimes, true emergencies arise. Even in these moments, women deserve autonomy. Informed consent and refusal, collaborative decision-making, and compassionate care are not optional—they are a right. Women can still walk away from their births feeling powerful when they’ve been respected, seen, and heard.

Birth stories live in our bones. They become part of who we are. When a woman looks back on her birth, she should feel proud, powerful, and reminded of how incredibly magical the process truly is.

While medical interventions can save lives, the rising rate of Cesarean births is deeply concerning. VBACs are not only possible—they are safe, empowering options that deserve to be supported and normalized.

As a doula and birth photographer, I believe birth should be remembered—not just felt. Through gentle, intuitive photography, I hold space visually as I do emotionally, preserving your strength, your surrender, and your sacred story.

Meet Bridget

Hi, I’m Bridget – a mother, birth doula, and photographer based in the vibrant West Suburbs of Illinois.

My journey into birth work began long before I ever held space for another family—it started with my own. My first two births were hospital inductions with epidurals, and while they brought me my babies, I was left feeling like something was missing. I had followed the path laid out for me, but deep down, I longed for a deeper connection—to my body, to my experience, and to the sacredness of birth.

Then came my third birth: an unmedicated, deeply intuitive experience that changed everything. It was raw, powerful, and life-giving in every sense of the word. I felt completely in tune with my body and fully present in each moment. People often say, “you don’t get a trophy for unmedicated birth”—but I did get something:
I got me.
I found strength I didn’t know I had. I gained wisdom, trust, confidence, and a faith in myself and the way God designed our bodies that ran deeper than anything I had ever known. That birth lit a fire in me—to shout from the rooftops how incredible birth can be when you feel connected, supported, and free to move through it on your own terms. That’s what led me to birth work: the belief that every woman deserves to feel empowered, respected, and held in her sacred transformation into motherhood—whether it’s her first baby or her fifth.

As a birth doula and photographer serving Chicagoland and NW Indiana, I offer more than just support—I bring grounded presence, lived experience, and intuitive care. I specialize in working with families who are seeking a deeper, more holistic connection to their birthing experience—those who value midwifery care, unmedicated birth, and the quiet, sacred beauty of those first moments with their baby.

That said, I honor every path. Whether you envision a calm homebirth, a hospital birth with an epidural, or anything in between—I am here to support your choices. There is no one “right” way to give birth. You deserve to feel seen, respected, and powerful, no matter how your story unfolds.

My camera is simply an extension of the way I see birth: full of strength, surrender, and soul. I’m here to gently preserve the details that can so easily slip away—the way your hand reached for your partner, the tear on your cheek when you heard that first cry, the stillness of holding your baby for the very first time. I love to tell your story through my lens by being present and quiet - capturing these perfect and fleeting moments.

Outside of birth work, I find joy in painting, nature walks, and slow moments with my family and friends. The same peace I seek in my everyday life is the energy I bring into every birth space I enter.

Thank you for being here. It’s an honor to walk with women during such a transformative season—and to offer support, guidance, and memories that will last a lifetime.

All my love + support always,
Bridget
